Requested Documents when transferring a Policy from one FSP – previous insurer (Parlor) to Phuti Funerals:
- Policy Schedule
- Policy Certificate
- Proof of payments (payment history or statement) for at least 1 year
- Proof of cancellation or transfer certificate from previous insurer (Parlor) or FSP
Waiting Period not applicable:
- No waiting period if the Insured have a proof of cancelation of policy with the previous FSP or Parlour within at least 31 days before entering into policy
with Phuti Funerals. - The cancelled policy should be in good standing and has not lapsed at the time of cancellation from the previous FSP or Parlour.
- The policy benefits and cover under the previous policy is clearly stated.
- The Waiting Period for the previous policy is/was completed for all lives Insured under that policy
With the following conditions:

- If the new cover which the client chooses with Phuti Funerals Ministry Group is higher than the one she/he had with the previous FSP, Then a waiting prescribed period will apply.
- In the event that there is a claim during the waiting period only the cover equivalent to the old previous cover indicated on the policy certificate (from the previous insurer) shall be claimable.
- The transfer must be checked and approved by the Key Individual first before new policy certificate is signed and first premium is paid.
- In the event of death of the Principal Insured (main member), Phuti Funerals Ministry Group will allow any of the eligible dependents or spouse who are currently insured under the same policy and with the same cover to take over the policy should they wish to do so.
- Replacement of spouse can be done any time after the claim but a waiting period will be imposed on the new spouse.
- The previous policy cannot be transferred in parts i:e all lives insured under the previous policy have to be transferred.
