The late Kgantshi Samuel Phuti Mampana PhukubjeMahlo founded Phuti Funeral Directors in 1994, having been in the Funeral Industry since 1980.
The Founder was motivated to start his own business because of the sub-standard service is given to black communities and societies at the time.
In 2001 he then diversified the business into a Group of Companies which is now called Phuti Funeral Ministry Group (PTY) LTD where we specialize in Wood Manufacturing, Granite Manufacturing and Funeral Insurance.
He was guided by his leadership in the South African Funeral Practitioner Association (SAFPA) where he was the Chairperson of the SAFPA Capricorn Region and PRO(Public Relation Officer) of SAFPA National.
Welma Nape Masenamela
Welma Nape Masenamela is a Managing Director, a Shareholder, an ICT Specialist with international Microsoft Certificates, currently studying Financial Planning at Milpark Education College. She is a holder of FSCA Regulatory exams RE1 and RE5.
With more than 11 years in the Funeral & Insurance industry, one of Welma Nape’s biggest break (achievement) was in 2010 when she was a project manager for Khunulla, running a big grave relocation (Exhumation) project of more than 600 graves within 6-8months in Limpopo Sekhukhune Area, whilst she was only 19 years.
Elizabeth Mantsha Masenamela

Elizabeth Mantsha Masenamela is a 27 years old director, Key Individual and Shareholder of Phuti Funeral Ministry Group. Graduated from Heriot Watt University in 2014 with Bechelors Degree in Business Administrations. Started working at Phuti Funeral Ministry Group from 2014 as Human Resource Officer and today she is the HR Manager of the Group.
From 2015 she started running Phuti Funeral Ministry group together with her sister Welma Nape Masenamela. In 2016 she was in charge of re-opening Phuti Wood and Managing the Project, which is now up and running and being very productive.
Phuti Funeral Ministry Group (PTY) LTD is the first undertaker in Limpopo to have a Call Centre, Limos, Granite Manufacturing and Wood Manufacturing, also has recently launched “Phuti Rewards”, which is a loyalty program where clients have monthly savings and etc.

We have 11 branches in Limpopo and one in Gauteng Province, Granite Manufacturing and Wood Manufacturing Factory. We pride ourselves on our origins, services, customer service excellence and being the children of the communities we serve.
